My Secret Weapon

What a joy it is for me to be able to wake up each day knowing that I have a secret weapon. While everyone else heads off to work worrying about making the sale, winning over a client, pleasing the boss, etc... I have a secret weapon to use just for those missions.

Some folks have to deal with very difficult people on a daily basis. Ministry people as well. My secret weapon works for that too. It's called prayer!

Philippians 4:6
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God."

While others are stressing out, I can show up for work knowing that I have someone who has my back. If I have spent time with God in prayer, I know He is going before me and He is going to help me. I just have to make time to start each day by letting Him know that I need His help.

And what I love about this scripture is that God actually wants to hear from me. People will tell you to call them if you need them and sometimes I feel like I am bothering them with my requests but God is different.

He wants me to tell him all my problems and cares of this life.
He wants to know the names of those people that we are having trouble with.
He wants to hear my goals for the day.
He wants me to succeed today!

Prayer:
"Lord, thank you for the opportunity to talk with you. I need your help today. Decisions have to be made and I want to be used by You. Speak through not only my mouth but also my actions. Whatever goals are met today will be all because of You!"
