Are the circumstances I find myself in actually for my good? Paul said his were.

Philippians 1:12
"Now I want you to know brethren that my circumstances have turned out for the greater progress of the gospel."

How could this be? He answers it in the next verse.

Verse 13:
"so that my imprisonment in the cause of Christ has become well known throughout the whole Praetorian guard and to everyone else..."

Paul was able to reach more people because of his circumstances than if they never happened. People heard about Paul. They were no doubt talking about the treatment he was receiving because of his stand for Christ. He was not a push over. If Paul was asked to work on Sundays today, he would have said, "Absolutely Not!, that is my Lord's day". And he would have gone to jail if it took it to take a stand that no one else was will to take. How do I know? Because he did.

My circumstances may fail in comparison to being in jail or beaten because of my beliefs so why is it that I am giving up much easier? Why is it that I am afraid to offend others in this world who care nothing about me by sharing the gospel while I offend my Heavenly Father by choosing not to share? God loves me and actually proved His love with the death of His Son.

My circumstances give me an opportunity to show others the awesome God I serve.

Prayer:
"Lord, I know there will be things I have to go through that I may not like. Help me not to look at these circumstances as a bad thing but rather look to see how You can be glorified during these times."
