What is my purpose for being on this earth? Many people would list their occupation as their reason but that is not the case. Some would say to be a father or mother but that is not why I am here.

God may allow you to do a certain job to provide for your family and it might be a job that you are very talented in doing but that is not the purpose in which you were born.

1st Timothy 1:12
"I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service."

Every person on earth was placed here to reach others for Christ and for no other reason. It's good that you are a doctor and able to help many sick people get well but that is not the reason you are here. You could be teacher and your job is very important in preparing our younger generation for their future but that is not the most important reason for you being here.

Paul told a young Timothy that Christ placed him in the most important position he could ever hold when he placed him in the ministry. You are not here for you, you are here for others. And Paul says that Christ strengthened him or enabled him to do the ministry in which he was placed.

God will not put you in a place that you can't handle. Whatever ministry He has for your life that is what He will strengthened you to do for Him.

Prayer:
"Lord, help me today to know that I am in your will. I did not wake up today to please myself but I am to look to you and please You and no other. I maybe sitting at a desk where I receive a paycheck but your mission is far more important to me. Help me to see others around me today that you have pre-ordained to cross my path so I might share You with them."
