How easy it is to get so caught up in this world that you forget who you are in Christ.

Paul writes to young Timothy in 2nd Timothy 2:4, "No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier."

When you accepted Christ as your personal Savior, you were enlisted into an army...God's army. Paul is instructing us on how not to get tangled up with the "affairs of everyday life". We can get so overwhelmed in making money, paying bills, caring for the sick family members, etc... that we forget who we are and who we represent.

Don't get so bogged down today that you forget about God. You were enlisted to fight as a good soldier in the army of the Lord. So keep your eyes peeled for the enemy and know that God is your commander in chief and when He says "Go!" you must act immediatley.

Prayer: "Oh God, how life can sometimes get in our way of seeing your will for our life. Help me to put away things that cause me to get wrapped up in the world to the point of losing my focus of You!"
