Journal Entry Archives

Wow! Another Monday. It might even be raining where you are which makes it that much tougher to get going today. But do you ever feel like it's raining on the inside when the outside is perfectly sunny and bright. It seems the more you try to go forward the further back you get.

Have you ever felt that way?

I know several people today who are going through struggles in their life. Some are fighting for their next breath, some are battling temptation, others are simply striving to make it to the end of the month without going under financially. Maybe none of these describe you but you just have what I call the "blahs".

We wonder why things look so dim when we have been doing our work for the Lord. We have been faithful to church, we have been faithful to ministry, we have been faithful to share Christ with others and you might be thinking today "if I am doing all of this good for others why am I struggling today?".

There are a few truths I want you to understand as you start this work week. The same God that saved you is the same God who will sustain you. He is still in control. Don't give up and allow the enemy to destroy all of the good seeds you have put in the ground. Use this "blah" moment to fall closer to God instead of falling away.

I know it may not seem fair at the moment. In fact, you may be about ready to give up and quit... but you can't!

Galatians 6:9 - "Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary."

All of those good seeds you have planted along the way have not been forgotten. It's tough at this moment but God is using the rain you are feeling on the inside of your life right now to water the seeds that will grow and bring in a great reaping season for you. But there is one catch - "If you do not grow weary".

Don't give up! There is still seed in the ground.

Prayer: "God, for some people it is a "blah" day. They are finding themselves feeling sorry for themselves. Please encourage their heart today and let them know that their reaping time is coming. And if there is one who has not been planting good seed, let them use this day to plant those seeds."
